Itinerary

It's time to discover the cities and scenery of Central Europe! At the indicated time, arrive at your departure airport to catch a flight to the Austrian capital of Vienna.* 

* If either your outbound or inbound flights depart in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.

Day 2 :
Vienna

Arrive in Vienna, an imperial city famed for its artistic legacy and for the music of Mozart and Beethoven, who both spent much of their lives in the Austrian capital. Transfer to the hotel and spend the remainder of the day exploring at your leisure. We recommend heading to the historic centre to enjoy the charming atmosphere. During the summer the riverbanks come alive with lively bars and restaurants, so be sure to check this out if the weather is pleasant. Overnight stay in Vienna.

Day 3 :
Vienna

Breakfast at the hotel. Discover the 'City of Dreams' today on a Vienna city tour. Take the Ringstrasse ring road to see some of the capital's most important buildings including the State Opera House, the Museums of Art History and Natural History, the Museumquartier, the Imperial Palace (the former winter residence of the Emperor), the Parliament, the City Hall and the Burgtheater. The remainder of the day is free to enjoy Vienna at your leisure. Overnight stay in Vienna.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the railway station this morning to catch a train to Salzburg, famous as the hometown of legendary composer Mozart. Arrive, transfer to the hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring at your leisure. Take in the views of the Eastern Alps and admire the medieval and baroque architecture of the Old Town. Overnight stay in Salzburg.

Breakfast at the hotel. Continue your adventure through Austria today as you self-transfer* to the station to catch a train to Innsbruck. On arrival, transfer to the hotel and get settled in before exploring the city at your leisure for the remainder of the day. As the capital of Austria’s western state of Tyrol, Innsbruck is a popular destination for winter sports. Known for its combination of Imperial and modern architecture this unique city is within easy reach of the spectacular landscapes of the Austrian Alps. Overnight stay in Innsbruck.

Breakfast at the hotel. Bid farewell to Austria as you transfer to the railway station to catch a train to Munich in Germany! Arrive, self-transfer* to the hotel and spend the remainder of the day getting to know the Bavarian capital at your leisure! Famous for its Oktoberfest celebrations and beautiful old town, Munich is a delight to explore. If the weather is pleasant, head to one of the city's many beer gardens for a taste of authentic German beer! Overnight stay in Munich.

Day 7 :
Munich

Breakfast at the hotel. Begin the day with a tour of Munich, starting in Karlstor. See the church of St. Michael, where the remains of the "Mad King” are located and head to Marienplatz, in the heart of the city. Visit the City Hall and its famous carillon and see the Frauenkirche and Devil’s Footstep. Admire the architecture of Opera Square and visit Bürgersaalkirche, the Royal Residence and St. Peter’s Church. After a comprehensive introduction to Munich's top sights, the remainder of the day is free to explore at your leisure. Don't miss out on a stroll through the beautiful Englischer Garten, the city's best-loved public park. Overnight stay in Munich.

Breakfast* at the hotel. It's time to bring your journey through Central Europe to an end. At the indicated time, transfer to the airport for a flight back to the US. Arrive in the US and end your trip.**
